Rebekah Lynne "Becky" Landis, 52, of Battle Creek died as a result of a motorcycle accident while traveling on vacation, touring Northern Michigan, on Thursday, July 25, 2013.
Becky, daughter of Paul T. and Yvonne (Pearson) Jones, was born July 9, 1961 in Kalamazoo, MI. She grew up in Battle Creek and was a 1979 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. Becky was currently employed as an optician at Northside Vision Services.
Becky married Raymond K. Landis on May 27, 2005 in Arkansas. Surviving are her husband, Ray; two sons, Ryan (Kathryn) Juarez and Chadd (Lacey) Juarez, of Battle Creek; stepchildren, Brandy, Amanda, Christina, Kam, Jeremy and Lacey; grandchildren, Isaiah, Trinity, Bradyn and Kenlyn Juarez, Jaden, Dalton and Stephan Landis, Makenzie Walmer and Sophia Clark; her parents, Paul & Yvonne Jones of Battle Creek; a brother, Greg (Nancy) Jones of Dowling; a niece, Ana Jones; nephew, Gregory Jones; and her mother and father-in-law, Ray and Bonnie Landis. Becky was formerly married to Israel Juarez.
Becky loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Some of her favorite hobbies were traveling on motorcycles, riding horses, garage saling, and enjoying her many friends.
Friends will be received 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, where funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Tom Townsend 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. There will be a fellowship reception following interment at Calvary Baptist Church.
