Robert D. Stewart

Robert Dean Stewart, 63, of Battle Creek, died January 29, 2025. Dean was born October 7, 1961 in Battle Creek to Robert and Katherine (Seltenright) Stewart. He graduated from Bellevue High School and went on to work in the trucking industry, working mostly routes in Michigan. Dean enjoyed golfing in his younger years. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and online gaming. He had a love for his cats that lasted until the very end of his life. 

Dean is survived by his father, Robert (Susan) Stewart; his mother, Katherine Stewart; his son, Darrin (Robin) Stewart; three grandchildren, Katlyn, Kelvin and Kolton; a sister, Beverly (Dennis) Malone; a brother, Ken (Jennifer) Stewart; a stepbrother, Michael Fleming and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his life partner, Linda Rogers. 

A memorial service to celebrate Dean’s life will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 6, 2025 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
