Robert P. Walton

Robert Paul Walton “Big Bob," 64, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024 in his home.

Robert was born on August 12, 1959 the son of Lawrence Calvin Walton and Laura Lee Burt. He graduated from Lakeview High School and worked many years at Howard Johnson and Battle Creek Inn. Then became employed as a salesman with ABC warehouse until he retired.

Robert is survived by his son, Joshua (Tabitha) Byrd; daughter, Christina (Micheal)  Marion; son, Robert (Stacy) Walton II; daughter, Amanda (Brent Dingee) Walton; nine grandchildren, Mickey Jex, Joshua Byrd, Jordan Byrd, Leslie Stout, Ceara Stout, Asia Marion, Micheal Marion Jr., Jay Byrd, Ryan Marion and seven wonderful great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years Roxanne Walton, his father and mother, his sister, Vesta Snell and his brother, Gregory Walton.

Robert was a family man who enjoyed coaching Post Franklin little league, bowling, pool, softball, mud volleyball, his cigars and his motorcycle. He loved giving hugs, and watching WWE. He also enjoyed watching and feeding his son's chickens.
