Rolland K. Bostwick, 92, of Battle Creek, died February 9, 2025 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Rolland was born October 16, 1932 in Battle Creek to Lawrence and Oneita (Pease) Bostwick. He graduated from Kellogg High School and went on to work at the Eaton Company. He was the youngest employee to retire from Eaton, at age 48. Rolland then worked various jobs, including building homes. He built many of the homes in the Hunter Ridge subdivision.
Rolland married the former Judi Gillfillian, who survives. He is also survived by their son, Steve Bostwick; grandchildren, Hunter Mauk, Alex St Claire and Blake Nichols; one great-grandchild and a sister, Marguerite Sturgeon.
Rolland was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Stefanie (Sissy) Mauk; a brother, Robert Bostwick and two sisters, Marian Nelson and Myrtle VanBruggen.
A graveside service to celebrate Rolland’s life will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Day Cemetery, Ross Township. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com. Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
