Sam died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 18, 2020. Sam was born in Saginaw, MI on March 24th, 1974 to Donald Chrispens and Penny (Anderson) Gunther Chrispens.
From an early age, Sam enjoyed camping and fishing. Sam and his Dad went on many hiking, canoeing and camping trips to remote areas around Michigan, Boundary Waters area and Yellowstone National Park. As Sam grew up, he continued to enjoy fishing, canoeing, bow hunting and deer hunting. Sam worked for Checker Motors and Kaiser Aluminum.
Sam loved his family, especially children. Sam is survived by his parents; his children, son, Collin Chrispens; daughters, Cassandra Chrispens and Kaylee Chrispens; brother, Tom Gunther; sister, Jen Gunther and Grandmother, Cordelia Chrispens-Owens. Sam was preceded in death by his grandfather, Samuel Chrispens.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Sam's life will be held on Saturday, November 7th at 1:00 p.m. at the Time Out Lounge, 400 E. Michigan Avenue, Galesburg, MI 49053. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Augusta Chapel is assisting Sam's Family.
