Seth Michael Walter was a caring and loving son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. He went home with the Lord on July 5, 2023 at the age of 31. He is survived by his father, Collin Walter; mother, Kathleen Walter; sister, Brooke Walter-Benaglio (Trevor Benaglio); nephew, Colton Benaglio; grandfather, James Walter; grandmother, Betty Phillips; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Seth was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elaine Walter; and grandfathers, Larry Morris and Gordon Phillips.
Seth was born to Kathleen (Morris) and Collin Walter on August 10, 1991 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Michigan. Seth was a Pennfield High School graduate and went on to pursue a career in the skilled trades, completing his Millwright apprenticeship and receiving his Journeyman card. He recently went on to become a heavy equipment operator for Hoffman Bros. Inc.Alongside of Seth’s career he was a full time farmer with his father and grandfather.
Seth absolutely loved spending time with his friends and family. If Seth wasn’t working, he was doing one of his many hobbies; competing in tractor or truck pulls, golfing, kayaking, snowboarding, hunting, ripping on his side by side with his friends or taking his nephew Colton for rides. Seth was an established member of the Calhoun County Yesteryear Association where he shared his love for antique tractors with others. Although Seth enjoyed many activities, his greatest passion was farming with his dad and spending countless hours in the fields. Seth will always be remembered as the guy with the biggest smile in the room, the most contagious laugh and just a simple country boy with the biggest heart.
