Sherri R. Corbin

March 3, 1952 — January 17, 2023

Sherri R. Corbin, 70, of Harbor Springs, died peacefully at home after an 18 month courageous battle with pancreatic cancer under hospice care with her husband by her side on January 17, 2023.

Sherri was born March 3, 1952 in Battle Creek to James and Jacqueline (Merriam) Lynn. Sherri graduated from Lakeview High School and married Robert "Bob" Corbin on February 5, 1993. She worked for Godfrey Jewelers in downtown Battle Creek, at MUIRS Drugs as a pharmacy tech and then went on to work for many years at Community Hospital ER as a unit clerk and then later at Bronson Battle Creek Occupational Medical in Fort Custer. Sherri retired in 2014 and moved to Arizona, later relocating to Harbor Springs in 2019.

Sherri was an exceptional cook and loved to entertain. She also liked to travel. Sherri and Bob made several cross country and into Canada motorcycle trips throughout the years. She enjoyed being the passenger so she could relax and take in the scenery. Numerous ocean cruises were also taken where she loved sampling all of the different foods from other countries. Not to mention, always signing up for a tour of the kitchens and talking with the chefs.

Sherri took great pride in maintaining and decorating her home. She enjoyed planting flowers in the summertime. It was not uncommon for passersby and neighbors to compliment her on her flowers and landscaping. Antiquing was also one of her favorite pastimes. Many of her "finds" were part of the home décor. She also liked working the elections every year in Battle Creek. Sherri loved her many pets, dogs and cats throughout her life. But the two most cherished pets were her two cats, Millie and Gibson (the wonder cat) who were always by her side.

Sherri was a very strong, independent and resilient woman. She was a good mother, wife and friend. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Sherri is survived by her loving husband, Bob; her son, Mark Easterbrook; two sisters, Tracy Lynn and Lori Lynn-Hillman; a brother, James M. Lynn and a cousin, Brenda Moon. She was preceded in death by her parents.

According to Sherri's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Memorial donations may be made to McLarin Hospice or to Humane Society of South Central Michigan. Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
