Steven William Burkhead

Steven William Burkhead, age 59, of Battle Creek passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 8, 2020. He was born in Battle Creek on October 9, 1960, the loving son of Kenneth and Jeannette (Corkins) Burkhead and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. Steven furthered his education at Ferris State University and worked for many years with the City of Battle Creek.

Steven is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Jeannette Burkhead of Battle Creek; and two brothers, David "Dave" Burkhead of Lansing and Daniel "Dan" (Lisa) Burkhead of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was an avid U of M football fan, and enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing pool, going to the casino, and spending time with his family and friends.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering will be held later in the year when it is safe to gather again. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, would be appreciated. Arrangements by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek.
