Thelma Sue “Susie” Hosack, 62, passed away May 22, 2024.
Susie was born November 3, 1961 to Robert C. and Judith E. (Packham) Stansberry. She was a lifelong resident of Battle Creek and was a local bartender for over 30 years. She played in the American Poolplayers Association for 20 years. Susie also enjoyed Survivor and true crime. She loved her family and spending time with her grandkids. She loved road trips and social events with friends and loved ones. She was always happy and had a bright smile and a kind heart.
Susie is survived by her husband of 39 years, Robert D. Hosack; children, Trina (Phillip) Apsey, Robert W. Hosack and Troy (Joy) Carl; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; step-father, Daryl Gerhardt and chosen sisters, Linda Raymond and Tina Day. She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith Elaine Packham; father, Robert Charles Stansberry; brother, Benjamin E. Stansberry and grandson, Jackson E. Apsey.
Susie’s family will receive friends for visitation Monday, June 3, 2024 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home, where a service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, June 4 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hicks Cemetery.
