Theresa L. Gooding

Theresa L. Gooding, 64, of Battle Creek, died suddenly Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Theresa was born October 21, 1953 in Owosso, MI to Kenneth and Helen (Durham) Gooding. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and worked at various restaurants as a hostess in the Battle Creek area for many years.

Theresa was a servant of God and loved to read the Bible. She truly enjoyed helping people and doing crafts and flower arrangements.

Theresa is survived by her daughter, Nicole (Richard) Funk; a son; Steven (Courtney) Barnes, Jr.; two brothers, Rick and Bill Gooding; two step-granddaughters, Alexis Renee Kisinger, Natalie Michelle Kisinger; and three uncles, Al Durham, Bob Durham and Sam (Winnie) Durham. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Bethany Swanson and Sandy Rue.

The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care where funeral services to celebrate Theresa's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. and officiated by Dr. Michael T. Conklin and Pastor Douglas Fleury. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
