Tracy Y. (Woods) Pierce of Battle Creek, MI
Tracy, age 58, died unexpectedly Monday evening, March 20, 2018 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, MI, with her loving family at her side.
Tracy, the daughter of Paul R. and Jennie L. (Dean) Woods, was born in Battle Creek on March 8, 1960; was a lifetime resident and a 1977 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. She, along with her brother, Charles Woods, owned and operated the Whispering Oaks Salvage Company of Battle Creek. Tracy enjoyed the "Shopping until you Drop" attitude, gardening and of course, Spoiling her Grandkids!
Tracy was united in marriage to Thomas L. Pierce in Battle Creek on July 9, 1994. Surviving is her husband, Tom; her daughter, Jennifer S. "Jennie" (Joe) Takens of Battle Creek; a step-daughter, Amy M. (Nate) Heeres of Vicksburg, MI; her son, William N. Felter of Spokane, WA; a step-son, Gregory T. (Allison) Pierce of Indianapolis, IN; six precious grandchildren, Bryer A. and Willow J. Takens, Braden M. and Bryce E. Heeres and Haylea L. (fi'ance: Wyatt "Hank" Mattingly) and Lexus R. Felter; her sister, Marilyn Ashley of Battle Creek and two brothers, Charles Woods and Paul (Becky) Woods, both of Battle Creek. Tracy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Woods.
Friends are invited to join Tracy's family to celebrate her life by sharing stories and memories at a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, March 24th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek (269-962-5527). As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and final interment will be with family in Ceresco Cemetery, Emmett Township.
