Victor Michael "Vic" Zajac

Victor Michael "Vic" Zajac, age 72, of Richland, peacefully passed away on Wednesday morning, March 18, 2015. He was born in Flint, Michigan on August 29, 1942, the loving son of Michael and Helen (Baldridge) Zajac and graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School with the Class of 1960. Victor retired from the Eaton Corporation in 1999 after more than 38 years of faithful service. He was an avid golfer who loved the outdoors and spending time with his family.

Victor married the "Love of His Life", Janet Heister in Allegan, Michigan on January 12, 1963. He is survived by his loving wife of more than 52 years, Janet; his children, Wendy Hirschman and Michael (Naxil) Zajac; his grandchildren, Eric Zajac, Austin & Connor Hirschman, Tara (Orlando) Padron, and Renata & Ana Castillo; his great-grandson, Ayden Padron; his sisters, Bonnie (Jim) Nichol and Carol (Kenneth) Lotz; his brother, Gary (Janet) Zajac, and several nieces & nephews. Victor was sadly preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Richland Chapel 9170 East D. Avenue (M-89), Richland where a memorial service to celebrate Vic's life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday with Rev. Dr. Mark W. Jennings, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Richland, officiating.
