Virginia "Anne" Perry, age 83, of Battle Creek, died Friday evening, October 16, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Battle Creek on October 11, 1937, the daughter of Paul and Esther (Wiles) Parsons and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. At the age of 16, Anne began working as an administrative assistant in the accounting department at Consolidated Packaging/Plymouth Packaging, and retired from there after more than 60 years of service.
Anne married the "Love of Her Life" Daniel A. Perry at the First United Methodist Church of Battle Creek on December 27, 1980; he sadly preceded her in death on August 23, 2018. She is survived by her children, Scott (Mary) Grindol, Kathy (Tony) Hammock, & Robert Grindol; her step-daughters, Tina Johnson-Perry and Toni Perry; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Anne was also preceded in death by her step-son, Lonnie D. Perry, and her grandson, Christopher Grindol.
Anne truly loved spending time with her family, playing with her dogs, and going to garage sales.
The family will receive friends 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek where funeral services to celebrate Anne's life will begin at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at the Fort Custer National Cemetery.
