William E. "Billy" Clawson

William E. "Billy" Clawson, Jr. age 58, of Battle Creek passed away Monday evening, May 24, 2021 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born in Battle Creek on October 14, 1963, the son of William E. and Mary L. (Steele) Clawson, Sr. and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School with the Class of 1982. Billy worked as a mechanic for several years with DeMaagd Automotive and also worked at various other body shops in the area.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Olivia (Darryl) Eckstein; his grandchildren, Addisyn Milnes, Aubree Milnes and Gage Eckstein; his mom, Mary Hoffman; his dad & step-mom, William & Janet Clawson, Sr.; a brother, Edward Clawson; his sister, Lucinda (Scott) Keeler; two nephews, Brent Clawson and Jacob (Chelsea) Keeler; a niece, Shelby Keeler; two step-sisters, Connie (Roger) Green, Kelli (Jason) Schmidt and their families. He was sadly preceded in death by the "Love of His Life", Angela Enos and his beloved dog "Jake".

A true outdoorsman and car enthusiast, Billy enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, boating, being at the lake, racing, working on cars and in the "Garage". In his younger years, he enjoyed roller skating & was on several speed skating teams, but his greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with his family.

The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 2nd at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek where a memorial service to celebrate Billy's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday.
