William Scott "Scott" Peter of Kalamazoo, MI


Scott, age 34, died unexpectedly Monday morning, January 11, 2016 at his residence.

Scott, the son of William Alan and Cindy Sue (Lucas) Peter, was born in Kalamazoo, MI on July 1, 1981 and was a lifetime resident. He was a 1999 graduate of Delton (MI) High School and was the Owner and Operator of Pro Gutter Services of Kalamazoo. His passion in life was his daughter, MacKenzie and coaching her softball team. Scott's relaxation was a long ride on his Harley and playing fast-pitch softball.

Scott is survived by his daughter, MacKenzie E. Peter of Kalamazoo; his dad, Bill Peter of Richland, MI; his mom, Cindy Peter of Kalamazoo; his brother, Bradley M. (Katrina) Peter and nephews, Alex, Blake and Camden of Hastings, MI; his wife, Jessica L. Peter; paternal grandmother, Sara Peter of Clinton Township, MI; maternal grandmother, Shirley Allen of Sebring, FL; maternal grandfather, Paul (Bette) Lucas of Constantine, MI; special friend, Megan Fish of Kalamazoo and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Scott's family will greet friends on Thursday, January 21st from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel, 9170 East D Avenue (M-89). A Celebration of Life Service for Scott will be held on Saturday, January 23rd at The Dock At Bayview, 12504 East D Avenue, Richland, MI 49083 from Noon until 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Scott's honor may be directed to his daughter's, MacKenzie E. Peter Educational Trust Fund, c/o Consumers Credit Union or the Jim Gilmore, Jr. Community Healing Center, 1910 Shaffer Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49048.
