Why should I make prearrangements in advance?
Making prearrangements is simply making plans that indicate what type of service or ceremony you desire. This gives your family, friends and us an organized plan or guideline to follow. Be sure to ask for input from your family, which is who the ceremony is really for. This also helps prevent disagreements about your wishes, and gives your family a clear idea of the type of service you want. It is also a means of selecting the items that may be incorporated to personalize the service and make it more meaningful to your family and friends. It could include any of the following such as a casket, vault, urn, service folder, register book, picture boards, memorial video, special music, readings or any personal item or memento to make the tribute more meaningful to those in attendance. Remember to make your plan flexible enough so your loved ones can incorporate new ideas and thoughts that arise as time passes.
You may call us in Battle Creek (800) 962-5527, Augusta (269) 731-4212, or Richland (888) 629-6022 to set an appointment to meet with a member of our staff. We do not charge you to make prearrangements. We would personally like to answer your questions and explain all your options in detail.
Another option is prefunding. A prefunded funeral offers you the opportunity to place money aside to cover all or part of the expenses and guarantees some of our services and merchandise you select.
